First Impression: My Thoughts And Opinions On Origins Ginzing Refreshing Eye Cream
I had heard a lot about the Origins Ginzing Refreshing Eye Cream from various YouTubers who raved about how great it is. But I had never actually gotten around to buying it. But, Sephora came out with a great Origins Ginzing value pack that contained the eye cream, a moisturizer, an exfoliator, and a lotion mist. While the eye cream was full size, all the others were 30ml sizes, and the pack was available for the price of eye cream! This was a great opportunity for me to try out all these amazing Origins products. I just knew I had to get it.
The entire value pack came in a cardboard box that was orange in color to depict the Ginzing line. All the products were neatly placed. The eye cream came in a tube that was white with an orange top. I love eye creams that come in tubes. I think it’s more sanitary since you don’t need to keep dipping your fingers in the product, thus violating the product’s formula. The cream is available in a tub as well, but I’m glad I got the tube.
I squeezed out a small amount of the product onto my ring finger. Upon smelling it, there is a very tiny hint of an orangey smell that is almost unnoticeable, and that might be important to lots of people. The squeezed product looks shiny like it has minute shimmer particles infused in them and has a slight peachy color to it.
I believe it is like a color-corrector for your dark circles. So, I applied it around the delicate skin of my eyes, and instantly the eye cream worked! The product does have shiny particles, so they make the eyes pop out, and the peach in the product helps give a radiant look! I don’t particularly have a problem with dark circles or eye bags, but I could feel my eyes feeling more fresh and restored. The product glides around the eyes very beautifully and is extremely hydrating. I put on concealer afterward, and the concealer blended beautifully around my eyes as well. I love this!
I have been using the Origins Ginzing Refreshing Eye Cream for over five months now every day without missing a day. I apply it on clean skin in the morning after a spray of the Origins Ginzing Energy-Boosting Treatment Lotion Mist, which I love! (Review coming soon) These two have become my staple every morning and is something I look forward to.
The eye cream has impressed me a lot! My concealer always goes on smoothly after applying the eye cream. I have not had to switch the eye cream in winter even though my skin gets super dry, which goes to prove its moisturizing properties.
Sometimes I just apply the eye cream and ditch the concealer, knowing that the cream is enough to highlight my eyes and give me a fresh-looking eye. Yet, on days that I skip the concealer, I do get asked if I have shimmer on my eyes. I don’t mind the shimmer-ish effect it has on my eyes. What’s wrong with a little shimmer anyway!
What I like and dislike about Origins Ginzing Refreshing Eye Cream
- Has a little too much shimmer
I am extremely in love with the Origins Ginzing Refreshing Eye Cream. I love it enough to keep repurchasing it. This eye cream is my absolute morning staple, and I can always count on this eye cream to keep my eyes looking fresh in the morning.
